Counter-Strike 1.6 master-server

Do you want your CS 1.6 to have plenty of good servers in the server browser? You’ve come to the right place!

Briefly about Counter-Strike 1.6 master servers: what is it

The Counter-Strike 1.6 master server is a special server that the CS 1.6 game client on your computer contacts when you open the server browser tab in the game. This master server sends a list of CS 1.6 servers from its database (a list of IP addresses and ports) to your computer, allowing you to select a server from the list to join and play on.

Typically, when installing the game Counter-Strike 1.6 on your computer, the address of the master server—which is required to retrieve the list of game servers—is already specified in your client's settings (within the file named MasterServers.vdf). If you wish, you can specify a different master server in the MasterServers.vdf configuration file. You might want or need to do this because various master servers can go offline, experience freezes, or offer server lists that do not interest you (e.g., too few servers, or servers that do not feature the mods or maps you prefer).

Our service offers several advantages: a vast selection of servers from around the world to suit every taste, featuring a wide range of game mods and maps. Currently, our database lists 3'403 CS 1.6 servers, with 19'931 players active across 1'166 maps. You can also view all servers in the server list on our website. We monitor game servers 24/7, compiling a ranking of the best CS 1.6 servers on the internet.
