This is a completely free service designed to save money on game server maintenance. You may need to have your own domain name that can be used online instead of the server's standard IP address: for example, in case the server's IP address changes, or if you simply want to share a "nice" personalized server address with others.
At Varq, we understand that the economics of running a game server may not allow for the purchase of a domain. Hosting providers can increase their prices every year, and frankly, buying a domain name just for IP address resolution is an unnecessary expense and hassle. To use our free domain for your game project, simply submit an application, pass moderation, and adhere to our terms of service.

How it works
Apply for a domain name
You choose the domain name yourself, but it must comply with the service's rules. The domain must contain the server name itself and cannot contain any extra words that aren't in the server name. Abbreviations/shortenings of words are allowed. Profanity is not allowed.
Wait for your application to be approved
If your application does not meet the service rules, the Varq project administration may contact you and offer other options for an acceptable domain name. You will then need to resubmit your application.
Wait for the domain to appear on the server page
Once your application is approved, the Varq system automatically sends a request to install the domain name in the DNS service for the qdom.net domain. It then takes 1-2 days for the domain to appear and update in all name servers globally. Only after this will a new domain be installed on the Varq server in the system, and you will see it in the address on the server page on the Varq website.
The domain may be revoked:
If the server name has changed and the domain name no longer matches this name
If the game project on the IP address has changed
If the server has been offline for a long time
If fake activity is detected on the server (artificial inflated server stats, etc.)
If there is evidence of dishonest actions by server administrators (both on the site and outside the Varq project)
If a complaint is received from government agencies or from a domain/server hosting
For other reasons, if the Varq administration deems it inappropriate/unacceptable to maintain a domain for the server

How to delete a domain
If you want to delete a domain name, you must contact the Varq project administrator. The administrator will remove the domain from the Varq website and also request the removal of the domain record from the qdom.net DNS.
How to change a domain
Please contact the Varq project administrator to remove your current domain from the system. You can then submit a new request to create a new domain for the server.
Changing the server IP address
If you use the qdom.net domain name and your server's address has changed (due to project migration or technical address change), you must contact the Varq project administrator. The administrator will request a change to the domain's IP address, and the server's IP address on the Varq website will then be updated automatically within 1-2 days.
Can I use a domain for my website?
No, the domain can only be used to resolve the IP address of a game server, and only if this server is added to Varq monitoring and complies with the service rules.
